The Museum Grants for American Latino History and Culture (ALHC) program supports projects that build the capacity of American Latino history and culture museums to serve their communities, and broadly advance the growth and development of a professional workforce in American Latino cultural institutions. Projects are expected to reflect a thorough understanding of current practice and knowledge about the subject matter and generate measurable results that tie directly to the need or challenge addressed.

Allowable Use of funds: Allowable costs include those for both non-research and research projects. Allowable costs include personnel, materials and equipment, participant support costs, program evaluation, staff and volunteer training, stipends for advisors and participants, overhead, and other program-related costs.  Funds for general operating, acquisition, advertising, renovation, social activities, and research projects are among unallowable costs.
