The Legal Assistance for Victims (LAV) Grant Program is intended to increase the availability of civil and criminal legal assistance needed to effectively aid victims (ages 11 and older) of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking by providing funds for comprehensive direct legal services to victims in legal matters relating to or arising out of that abuse or violence.

Allowable Use of Funds: 80% of funded activities must be on legal services for victims of non-intimate partner sexual assault; support for partners; language access and access to people with disabilities.
Grants Plus clients have received over $8m in grant funding and achieve a 65% award rate on applications to the Department of Justice, including applications to the Office on Violence Against Women (OVW).
