As an Engagement Specialist at Grants Plus, Marissa provides grant writing and grant research expertise. Marissa previously served as the Associate Director of Grants & Government Relations for the National Inventors Hall of Fame and served in multiple roles with Community Legal Services of Mid-Florida. Marissa holds her Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where she specialized in public interest, environmental/animal advocacy, and non-profit work. Marissa also holds her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Akron. Marissa was a 2024 Chamberlain Scholarship recipient to attend the Association of Fundraising Professionals conference in Toronto, Canada. Based in North Canton, Ohio, Marissa enjoys spending time with her miniature dachshund, Macklin.
