Senior Advisor

As Senior Advisor, Cari coaches and guides nonprofit leaders to be more successful at finding and securing grants from foundations, corporations, and government funders. With a background in theater and music, Cari is a storyteller at heart and appreciates the opportunity to transfer this skill and passion in her work at Grants Plus. Prior to joining Grants Plus, Cari spent ten years working in the nonprofit field, most recently as Director of Grants and Donor Strategies at Trinity River Mission (a nonprofit afterschool organization in Dallas, TX), as well as other development and outreach roles with YWCA Greater Cleveland, Hard Hatted Women, and The Institute on Women. She is a member of the Grants Professionals Association, an AmeriCorps VISTA alum, and holds a BA in International Studies, Theater, and French from Baldwin-Wallace College (now University). Cari lives in Northeast Ohio with her husband, two children, and pet menagerie.
